Wyse Technology Aids Hurricane Katrina Victims With Immediate Access to Health News and Family Information

Quick Installation and Reliability of Wyse Thin Clients Empower Emergency Response Team With Critical Internet Access in Tough Conditions

San Jose, CA – 2005/09/14 - Wyse Technology, the globalleader in thin computing, today announced a donation of Wyse S90 thin clientcomputers to aid Hurricane Katrina victims and emergency workers from the SanJose-based CityTeam Ministries. The devices will be used in computing centeron the Mississippi coast and will be administered by members of the CityTeamMinistries emergency response team.

CityTeam is trained to start, operate and staff emergency shelters. Theteam needed help to deliver computers with Internet access to hurricanevictims and relief workers. Wyse stepped in to provide the thin clientterminals, which will -- in conjunction with battery power and wireless relayhelp from Inveneo -- connect aide workers and victims of the hurricane to theInternet, and resources like FEMA, as well as web sites that provideinformation on reaching family members and loved ones.

The Wyse S90 thin clients were delivered to CityTeam Ministries earlierthis week into a caravan of trucks destined for Hancock County, Mississippi,where a disaster relief team is setting up a self-contained base camp whereemployees and volunteers will live for many months.
